Mission

To experience and celebrate the spirit of agility beyond its rituals.

About Ahmed The Living Agilist

I am Ahmed, a serious, professional, and responsible Agile coach who somehow manages to find humor in almost everything in his daily professional life. A fan of minimalist living, I naturally gravitate toward lean thinking, both in life and in work.

With my first degree in General Education and a minor in Cultural Anthropology, I have always been fascinated by people and cultures. I thrive in the global world of IT, connecting just as easily with teams from Bangalore as with teams in Kiev, and of course with teams across various parts of the USA.

My second degree in Computer Science, along with an MBA in IT Management, keeps me firmly grounded in the technical and business sides of software delivery.

One of my guiding principles is that establishing clear and constant communication is at the heart of successful Agile coaching.

In my Agile life, I have helped rescue more than a few Agilevilles, guiding teams from chaos to clarity, one sprint at a time.

Four people collaborating over charts, notes, and laptops at a wooden table.

About this site

This site shares stories and lessons learned from the real life of an Agile coach. It’s about embracing the Agile life and not just implementing the methodologies.

Here, I tell tales from the trenches with heart, and at times, with a touch of humor.

Over the years, I have learned that agility isn’t defined by ceremonies or tools but it’s defined by people; their courage to experiment, their willingness to learn, and their ability to laugh through the chaos, all while applying lean thinking.
